WOODSTOCK NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
After 12 amazing years of serving Woodstock families, we’ve closed our doors.
A NOTE FROM RACHAEL
As of December 20th, 2024, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the studio permanently. I’ve absolutely loved every minute of capturing your family’s most precious memories. Being invited into your lives and serving families in this way has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Documenting your baby’s first moments, your toddler’s first steps and watching your family grow has been a beautiful privilege that I have not taken lightly.
I’m most proud of the way my team and I were able to support so many new families through their earliest moments as new parents. From the beginning this was much more than a business for me. I started this photography journey with a deep desire to serve new mothers. I had this wild vision for Moms to feel seen and heard during all phases of their motherhood journey. Parenthood is challenging at times, but there are so many wonderful moments hiding right under our noses. Sometimes you just need someone in your corner to show you how beautiful it all is (and remind you of what an amazing job you’re doing). Other times you just need a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. I feel so lucky to have been a part of many of these moments, in some small way.
I want to give a big thank you to my wonderful team:
To my Hair + Makeup Artist, Sarah Yott; you’ve always seen the vision and treated each and every Mom with such tenderness and care. You truly “mothered” the Moms we served together.
To my amazing lab GTA Imaging: your beautiful albums and artwork will live on for generations in the homes of so many Oxford County families. Patricia Won and the rest of the amazing team: you have gone above and beyond for my clients SO many times. I’ll never forget the day you rushed an album to my friend with breast cancer, so she could see her family memories before she passed.
Thank you to Tony and the crew at The Cutting Edge for our great conversations, your impeccable attention to detail on each and every framed joined and of course, always putting up with me and my meticulously high standards.
Thank you to Mary Anne Murphy for teaching me everything I know about custom framing. You went above and beyond during the height of the pandemic to show me the ropes. You helped me to realize the dream of creating beautiful wall galleries for Woodstock families. So many families in Oxford County have you to thank for their beautiful wall art.
Special thank you to Ted McLaughlin. You taught me everything I know about the very tedious art of imaging and calibration for print. You were so patient with me in those early years, working with me to get my client’s prints looking perfect. I always look forward to our chats and ask for you every time at Carmen’s.
Thank you to my photography besties Kerry, Nicole, Brynn, Karen and Anna. Your friendship has meant the world to me. You have always made me laugh, pushed me out of my comfort zone and celebrated the wins, too.
And of course a huge thank you to my former coach Brittany Elise Anderson. Thanks for showing me the ropes and that it’s ok to unapologetically serve Mom’s to the highest degree possible.
Most of all, I want to thank each and every client that has walked through my studio door. It has been a joy to serve you these past 12 years. I opened this business after the birth of my son and I was so desperately seeking a community of parents who wanted to connect over this wild ride called motherhood. YOU have been that community. And that has meant everything to me.
Thank you for an absolutely beautiful 12 years 🤍
Rachael
