Returning Family Welcoming Baby Brother
This In-Studio Newborn session was a wondrous and joyful experience for this returning family and myself. Having previously photographed big sister Quinn’s newborn session, it was a joy to see this family growing to include baby brother, Nash. It was important to Meagan and Devon to capture these moments of love and intrigue between siblings and parents when welcoming their baby boy to the family.
Baby Nash was relaxed and sleepy, enjoying cuddles from Mama and even a sweet kiss from big sister Quinn. Mama and Dad showered baby Nash in love with gentle kisses, cuddles and proud smiles.
Upon awakening, baby Nash was full of adorable yawns and showed off his bright eyes for some dreamy individual photographs.
Big sister Quinn was a sweet, busy-bee! Embracing her playful and chatty personality while in the studio made for some amazing play-based photos. Quinn playing on Dad’s shoulders is a perfect example of the play-based approach I take in the studio.
Embracing the fun children want to have on a daily basis makes for beautifully realistic photographs to cherish forever. Mom and Dad have fun photographs to remind them of how playful Quinn is for years to come.
This family recently renovated their main floor and had an undersized grouping on display that did not include baby Nash. Mom and Dad wanted a new grouping to fill the space that included baby Nash.
After the session and in-person reveal, I created a large, asymmetrical design to fill the space. It is a 7 piece custom designed wall collage with a mix of candid and formal images in a washed raw frame. Sweetie Quinn was a delight when she helped me install this family’s collection of memories in their home.
